The trip to Bowling Green went well. We didn't have much time to chat with each other because we were too busy keeping track of our own kids. 6 kids were running around or crying or rolling or crawling or fighting over toys, etc. Little Deacon was a trooper through it all. Only a few weeks old and slept most of the time.
It was a short day-trip and naps were needed by the afternoon. But it was good to see Cara, April and their kids. I was glad the twins slept the entire trip home!

Everyone has been asking about Brutus. Here are some before and after shots. The middle picture was just a couple days after surgery and the right picture was last week. He has been doing so well. Acting like a kitten again. He has been playful and back on his routine! And, the tumor was not cancer. So removing the eye was not a wasted effort. I think Brutus is glad too since it was really starting to bother him. Now we just wait for his hair to grow back in to cover the scar. More pictures to come!
Well, after months of waiting and ordering and waiting, we finally have the babies room set up with both cribs! Campbell's bed finally arrived and now the room is complete. We turned the guest room (which I loved and hated to give up) into the baby room. And how do you decorate a twin boy and girl room? Here is our take on the subject. We split the room in two with paint and grandma made coordinating black and white bedding. So glad I work for a furniture store, because two cribs was costly!
We set the kids to play on the floor together and they are already "stealing" each other's toys. In the second picture you can see Tate's reaction to his sister. She is already taking charge!
Also, take note that Tate is sporting his Florida State gear for the football season! Sorry the bib is obstructing the view of the FSU symbol.

Tate is showing his "skills" at the "sitting-up" thing. He has really caught on and will sit for a very long time now. He will watch a Baby Einstein video or play with his toys. Campbell is almost there, but still needs the Boppy behind her. She wants to fall backward and hit her head.
6 month update (a little late). The kids went for their 6 month check-up and Tate is now 16lbs 1oz and Campbell is 15lbs 10.5oz. Growing by leaps and bounds!

We survived the Labor Day weekend. We were completely exhausted after all the wedding festivities. (which you can see the exhaustion on my face) Lisa and Kyle tied the knot! Campbell and Tate had new outfits to show off at the wedding. Tate seemed to love his ensemble, while Campbell finally tired of her look. The family portrait shows Josh's frustration of keeping up with babies at a wedding while I took pictures. I look pretty frazzled as well. But, we enjoyed seeing old friends.
Our cat Brutus has been diagnosed with an eye tumor. If you look closely in his left eye, you can see the tumor. It runs all the way to the lens of his eye and we must have the eye removed. He is scheduled for an enucleation (eye removal) next Monday. We are so sad to see his eye go because he has the most beautiful green eyes you have ever seen on a persian cat. But, we must do what we have to do. Wish us luck.
